EMPOWER researcher Jose L. Ayuso-Mateos, Chairman from the Department of Psychiatry of the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, Spain and director of the WHO Collaborative Center for Mental Health Services Research and Training, was one of the speakers of the country’s experiences at the Webinar series: “Mental health and our health and care workforce” part 1 “Promoting and protecting the mental well-being of the health and social care workforce: from self-care to dedicated support” held on September 24, 2020 from 11:00am to 12:30pm CET.
In the context of the psychological impact of COVID-19 on the health and social care workforce, this webinar set out a spectrum of practical tools and interventions that can be used by workers or their employers in relation to stress management, psychosocial support, and mental health care.
The focus was on how such tools have been rolled out or integrated into the response to COVID-19 outbreaks at the local or national level.
