Mental health and well-being in the workplace: the EMPOWER project

The FINCB team has submitted an abstract presenting the Empower project to the 16th Virtual Congress of European Forum for Research in Rehabilitation 2021, which will be held online September 23-25 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The title is “Mental health and well-being in the workplace: the EMPOWER project” by Alberto Raggi, Claudia Toppo, Matilde Leonardi from Fondazione IRCCS Instituto Neurologico Carlo Besta in Italy and Beatriz Olaya, Ellen Vorstenbosch and Josep Maria Haro from the coordinator team at Fundació Sant Joan de Déu (FSJD) in Barcelona, Spain.

Mental health and wellbeing in the workplace are public health issues that need to be addressed with effective intervention strategies, that are also applicable by organizations. The workplace can act as a barrier or facilitator for people mental health, thus effective interventions of health promotion and disease prevention are crucial. EMPOWER is expected to provide a feasible, brief and cost-effective intervention to support the management of mental health issues in the work sector, with a broad applicability, but also context-specific, and suggestions about the most appropriate and effective strategies for a successful uptake of the eHealth platform will emerge.
