Our FINCB team submitted an abstract on the project to the 12th World Congress for Neurorehabilitation held in Vienna, 14-17 December 2022, in which EMPOWER was presented.
The e-poster that EMPOWER member Matilde Leonardi presented at the WFNR congress was:
The development and test of a novel occupational eMental health intervention in the workplace: the EMPOWER project is coauthored by Alberto Raggi, Claudia Toppo, Martina Cacciatore, Desirèe Gutierrez, Beatriz Olaya, Ellen Vorstenbosch, Josep Maria Haro and Matilde Leonardi from Neurology, Public Health, Disability Unit, Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Neurologico Carlo Besta, Milan, Italy, and Fundació Sant Joan de Déu, Barcelona, Spain.
Occupational mental health problems, such as stress, depression and anxiety, constitute a public health issue, given their huge burden and economic costs for both the individuals and the society. Therefore, they need to be addressed with effective intervention strategies, that are also applicable by organizations. However, implementation of eMental health interventions in the workplace can be a complex process that faces a number of barriers, and this can limit their effectiveness and spread.
